Access The Crawl Space

The first clue that Dorian gives you is that you’ll need a key, though its whereabouts are not well-explained. You’ll need to head down to the crawl space, which is a small area right underneath your house.

The entrance to the crawl space is located in the Boiler Room, which is connected to your office.

Right in front of Winnifred the water heater is a rug that is concealing a trap door. Interact with the rug to pull it aside, and interact with the trap door to open it, revealing an opening in the ground and a ladder leading down to the crawl space.

You can speak to the trap Dorian with your Dateviators on, and you’ll discover that this version of your friendly bouncer is a little… spicier.

How To Get The Attic Door Key

Head down the crawl space, and you’ll discover three items: a time capsule (Bodhi Windbreaker), a mousetrap (Vaughn Trapp), and most importantly, your quarry–a skeleton key.

Awaken the skeleton key, and you’ll meet Keith, who is relieved that you’re here to rescue him from this musty crawl space.

How To Unlock The Attic Door

Once you have the key, head back up to the second floor and speak with the Dorian guarding the attic by using your Dateviators.

This will prompt a conversation between Keith and Dorian, who quickly embrace each other in a loving warmth, and they then reveal that they’re close and once had a relationship, though they later decide that they’re better off as friends.

After the conversation, a small animation will occur, and the attic door will be unlocked.

Inside the attic, you’ll find several interesting items, including a dominatrix safe (Sophia), artwork (Artt), a box of old holiday deocrations (Holly), a box of board games (Parker Bradley), a plastic plant (Prissy Plastique), and a ghost named Zoey if you visit the attic after running out of Dateviator charges.

Step-By-Step Walkthrough

You may begin this process at any point in the game, but just make sure that you have at least two charges in your Dateviator so that you don’t have to go back to sleep.

From the bedroom, head downstairs to the boiler room, which is accessible via the downstairs office.
Interact with the rug, then the trap door, and climb down the ladder to enter the crawl space.
Awaken the key on the ground with the Dateviators.
Climb back up to the second floor and speak to the attic door while wearing the Dateviators.
