Habitats & Shiny Spawns

During this year’s Pokemon GO Fest global celebration, players can enjoy an hourly rotation of Pokemon, spawning in “habitat hours”. There are four hours in total, with each hour repeating twice. The habitat hours (Dawn Meadow, Shining Day, Creeping Dusk, and Darkest Night) will feature different Pokemon and shinies to hunt down, so players should use the lists and tables below to be aware of which Pokemon to prioritize.


Dawn Meadow

Hoppip, Wingull, Heatmor, Ferroseed, Ducklett, and Inkay with their shiny forms in Pokemon GO.

The Dawn Meadow habitat hour will see several rare and difficult-to-catch Pokemon spawning in the wild. All Pokemon noted will have their shiny form available! A full list of Pokemon spawning during this habitat hour can be found below:

Event Bonuses

In-game events in Pokemon GO always feature bonuses for players to enjoy alongside catching Pokemon. These bonuses sometimes overshadow the Pokemon spawns due to their usefulness. The full list (though it is small) of bonuses players will receive during the event can be found in the bulleted list below:

  • Lure Modules started during the event will last for one hour (instead of the normal 30-minute time span).
  • Each habitat hour will feature different field research that players can complete to receive items, rewards, and Pokemon encounters.
  • Taking a Snapshot of Pokemon during the event may yield some surprise Pokemon encounters.


Ticket Holder Exclusives

Players who purchase a ticket to Pokemon GO Fest 2024 will receive exclusive items, rewards, Pokemon spawns, and Special Research. The bonuses will also give players an increased chance to encounter shiny Pokemon throughout the event. For a full list of the exclusive benefits ticket holders will receive, read on!

A ticket to Pokemon GO Fest Global costs $14.99 USD (or local equivalent) and can be purchased from the in-game shop.

Ticket Holder Incense Spawns

Incense used during the event hours will last one hour for all players, but players who have purchased a ticket to the event will receive exclusive spawns. Different letters of Unown will be the primary Pokemon spawning with these Incense, but there will also be one exclusive Incense spawn during each of the four habitat hours. Maractus, Corosola, Rockruff, and Vullaby will appear alongside the Unown! It is important to note that all of the Incense-spawned Pokemon can be shiny except for Maractus!

Ticket Holders Bonuses

Ticket holders will receive a few extra bonuses on top of the ones listed in the Bonus section above. The bonuses exclusive to ticket holders can be found in the bulleted list below:


  • Nine free Raid passes will be received from spinning Photo Discs at gyms.
  • Players can make up to six Special Trades on the event days (instead of the normal one Special Trade per day).
  • There will be special 7km eggs for ticket holders.
  • Ticket holders will have an increased chance to encounter shiny Pokemon!
  • Ticket holders can complete habitat-themed field research to level up their Elite Collector medal.

Ticket holders will be able to complete Special Research tasks that lead to an eventual encounter with the Mythical Pokemon Marshadow! This Research is exclusive to players who have purchased a ticket, though it is likely the Pokemon will become available to all players later down the line like other Mythical Pokemon included in events have.
