While many items work as upgrade materials, other items can be sold for large sums of gold or given to NPCs as a gift. Gold Ore is one of the more rare items players can find in the game; and here’s where to start looking.
Where To Find Gold Ore
Gold Ore is a very rare mineral that is not easily farmed. While only found deep in caves, we can currently only guarantee it is found in Worldsend Cavern to the north of Checkpoint Rest Town. Having a Pawn with Forager can greatly help in trying to track down other sources of Gold Ore throughout the world.
The other way players can find Gold Ore is through monster drops. While still only having a low drop rate, Giffins, and Golems have the potential to drop Gold Ore. Golems do have a higher drop rate than Griffons for Gold Ore, but fighting both enemies as often as possible will be your best method of obtaining Gold Ore once you’re high enough in level.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Every Vocation, Ranked
Vocations determine the weapons, skills, armor, and overall play style of a character in Dragon’s Dogma 2; here are all ten vocations, ranked.
What To Do With Gold Ore
Despite its rarity, Gold Ore doesn’t sell for as much as you’d think. If Affinity isn’t a part of the game you’re focusing on, sell it as it has no other uses. For those trying to max out Affinity with an NPC who likes Expensive items, giving them Gold Ore as a gift will greatly boost their Affinity. For those thinking of farming, Gold Ore to sell, there are other items that sell for about as much and are much easier to farm, such as Glymercole.
Players are able to increase their main Pawn’s Affinity but not with gifts such as Gold Ore. Maxing out Affinity with your main Pawn will give a slightly different cutscene at the end of the game, but otherwise won’t affect the endgame content.
