Another month in the books means another month that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a best-selling game.
Industry analyst Mat Piscatella has revealed the November 2024 sales data for the gaming industry. The month saw a 7% drop in U.S. consumer spending on video game content, hardware, and accessories year-to-year. Year to date, spending is virtually even compared to 2023.

Black Ops 6 being available on Game Pass meant players on the fence on it had a chance to try the game again.
One reason for the year-to-year decline? Piscatella points out that last year’s Call of Duty entry, Modern Warfare III, was released in November, compared to this year’s installment, launching in October.
It’s not all doom and gloom, though. Non-mobile video game subscription spending grew 8% after Black Ops 6 became available on Xbox Game Pass. Year to date, EA Sports College Football 25 remains the best-selling game of 2024, followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Helldivers II, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.
The 20 Best-Selling Video Games of November 2024
There isn’t much change from last month other than some games shuffling positions due to holiday shopping. Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Dragon Quest III, and My Sims: Cozy Bundle all debut in the top 20.
