Summary
- Delta Force console version, particularly for PS5, teased by Team Jade after months of silence.
- Xbox version status remains unknown, leading to speculation about prioritizing PS5 release.
- Prior acknowledgment in February cited controller-vs-mouse issues; recent updates improved campaign for solo players.
While Delta Force was initially announced as a free-to-play shooter coming to PC, mobile, and consoles, the developers at Team Jade have surprisingly held off on releasing the console version to the point that we don’t even have a trailer for it.
That’s about to change soon — at least for PlayStation gamers.

Team Jade has just sent out a teaser for Delta Force’s console versions, and is the first time the dev team acknowledged it after months of silence.
Delta Force PS5 Version Teased But Xbox Fans Might Be Left Out
Over on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, Team Jade teased the PlayStation symbols:
That tweet was followed up by a “Elmo summoning”: meme in response to one fan’s reply of a PlayStation controller, which all but confirms the PS5 version is about to get unveiled.
What about the Xbox version? No word on that, and given that most Asian games are on PlayStation consoles, perhaps Team Jade decided to prioritize the PS5 version first before working on the Xbox Series X|S version? That’s purely conjecture on my end, though.
The latest acknowledgment of the game’s console version from Team Jade happened in Feruary of this year, where the developers cited fairness issues when it comes to controllers against mouse & keyboard input as the main factor in the console version’s delay.

In December last year, the studio gave us our first glimpse of the console version of the shooter, though that was more of a teaser more than anything else.
Since then, Team Jade has released consistent updates for its live-service shooter, with one update introducing a free campaign mode. While its initial release was intentionally made very challenging by the studio, players soon pushed back against this idea, since some didn’t have friends to play co-op with. This resulted in the Black Hawk Down campaign mode getting negative Steam reviews.
As of June, that’s a non-issue as Team Jade rolled out an update last month to make the campaign more manageable for solo players.
Chances are, we should be getting an official announcement and trailer for Delta Force’s console debut, and once we know more, we’ll have it up on the site.
