The upcoming action-RPG from Sandfall Interactive, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, seems to have turned some heads following the reveal of its release date last week — at least based on the amount of people looking for the game’s Collector’s Edition.

The studio announced that Collector’s Editions are now sold out, with physical editions also in high demand.

Over on Twitter/X, the official account of the game announced, “Never could we have imagined that we’d have sold out of our collectors editions so early, nor did we know the demand for our physical editions would be so high.”

The studio adds that they see the messages requesting restocks of certain editions. However, getting these editions made was a “monumental feat” already for the studio, and while they are grateful for the demand and how it exceeded their expectations, the studio can’t guarantee they will be able to restock certain editions.

“Though we will try our best to explore the options of restocking, we cannot promise it yet and we hope you understand the limitations with this,” Sandfall confirms.

If you’re not familiar with the upcoming action-RPG, it’s the debut game of new studio Sandfall Interactive and it’s being published by Kepler. According to the studio, “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a ground-breaking turn-based RPG with unique real-time mechanics, making battles more immersive and addictive than ever. Explore a fantasy world inspired by Belle Époque France in which you battle devastating enemies.”

Further building on the RPG’s hype, a live-action film based on the game is in development by Story Kitchen, who also produced the Tomb Raider animated series for Netflix that launched in October 2024.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 releases this April 24 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
