Grand Theft Auto 6 fans are at it again. After Troy Baker shut down rumours that he would be portraying Jason in the next instalment in the GTA series, fans continued their efforts to track down the voice behind “trust,” and they’re convinced that their efforts have paid off.

Considering Grand Theft Auto 6 is, undoubtedly, the most anticipated game of all time, it’s no surprise that fans are speculating on details every chance they get. Fans even think there was a sneaky easter egg in a leaked Rockstar logo. But the biggest mystery surrounding Grand Theft Auto 6 is who will be playing its pivotal protagonists: Jason and Lucia.

While fans believe they’ve already figured out who will be playing Lucia, it remains a mystery on who could be playing her partner in crime, Jason. Or does it?

Shortly after Grand Theft Auto 6’s very first trailer was released, fans quickly began speculating that it was famed video game voice actor Troy Baker behind the role of Jason. “I’m 99% sure that’s him. Even if it’s one word. I have Heard so much of his voice acting,” one of many Redditors speculated.

After months of speculation, Baker shut down the rumours during an interview with The Movie Dweeb. “I want that guy, whoever it is, to get credit for his work because I’m sure it’s going to be great, and I know many people who worked for Rockstar – Roger Clark and Ned Luke – and that’s a grind. Those guys pour themselves into those characters and they deserve all the credit for their work. Not me.”

Now, however, fans think they’ve finally worked out who Jason could really be voiced by.

Is This The Man Behind Grand Theft Auto 6’s Jason?

In an exclusive scoop by our sister site GameRant, it appears as though Grand Theft Auto 6’s Jason could be portrayed by Gregory Connors, an actor based in New York with over a decade of experience in the industry. While the actor’s resume has since been deleted, it previously stated that Connors had a lead voice-over role in an unnamed Rockstar Games title set to release in 2025.

While it’s easy to speculate that this is, in fact, our Jason, it’s possible that Connors could be voicing the game’s antagonist, as noted by GameRant.

Fans then compared the voices of Grand Theft Auto 6’s Jason from previous leaks with a clip of Connor’s acting and said “his voice sounds pretty similar to Jason.” Others weren’t so sure though, with one user saying, “It’s not him lmao, the sound doesn’t match.”

While fans will continue to debate on whether or not this is really Jason’s voice actor, some believe it’s all-but confirmed after the star removed the role from his resume shortly after being found out. For now, though, we’ll have to wait and see.
