Maruti Suzuki India on Thursday announced a price hike across its vehicle portfolio, effective February 1, 2025, with the price increase varies across models, with increments ranging from Rs 1,500 to Rs 32,500. The decision comes amid rising input and operational costs, which the company says have left it with no choice but to pass on part of the burden to customers.

The automobile giant is committed to optimizing costs and minimizing the impact on buyers, it said in information to the exchanges.

The steepest hike of Rs 32,500 applies to the Celerio, while prices of Ciaz, Jimny will see an increase in price by upto Rs 1,500.

Maruti sales

Except for festive boom, the automotive industry in India is witnessing a slump in sales. Maruti Suzuki, in December 2024, sold 1,78,248 units, which was a 30% increase from the previous year. This included 1,32,523 units sold domestically, 37,419 units exported and 8,306 units sold to other OEMs.
