It’s not often a turn-based RPG gets much hype unless it’s made by Square Enix. However, the hype is there for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33; the debut project from French studio Sandfall Interactive.

The upcoming RPG, which releases on April 24 on consoles and PC, but does it have an Early Access edition that lets you play the game a few days earlier like what most major releases are doing now? When can you play it exactly? These are questions we answer today.

Clair Obscur: Expedition Early Access and When It’s Playable

Will Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 be available via Early Access? The short answer is: no. Unlike other major game releases, publisher Kepler Interactive has not produced a higher-tiered version of the game that lets you play it earlier much like most of the major game releases we see today.

This is a surprising move, given that the game has different editions for sale. There’s the Standard Edition ($49.99) that comes with the base game, the Digital Deluxe Edition ($59.99), the Lumiere Edition ($69.99), and the Collector’s Edition, which has been sold out for months.

As you can see, even the most expensive edition of the game doesn’t offer Early Access. This time around, everyone will be starting the game at the same time.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Not Only Inspired By JRPGs, But Also By One Very Hard Souls-Like

Clair Obscur was inspired by old Final Fantasy games and eve one title from FromSoftware.
